Solar Chevorlet


We all know the importance of saving energy and ensuring a sustainable planet for the next generation. Now Dan Vaden Chevrolet Cadillac at 9393 Abercorn Street in Savannah, GA has the chance to add to this important effort.

Chevrolet, in an effort to promote the Volt sedan, will be building solar-powered charging stations across the United States at participating dealerships.  Each charging location will have the capacity to keep 12 vehicles per day fully energized.  If there's extra energy at the end of the day, it will be used to power the dealership itself.

GM Accelerates Chevy Volt Rollout

For those of you avidly following news surrounding the imminent Chevrolet Volt, you know that GM's original plan for the U.S. was to deliver the electric vehicle (EV) only to select markets this year, namely: California, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Texas, and Michigan.

 

More recently, Rick Scheidt, Vice President of U.S. Marketing, Chevrolet, revealed that GM is planning to up its original promise. The company now plans to launch the Chevrolet Volt in all 50 states by the end of this year. In short, the Volt is going nationwide!

Cadillac Plug-in Hybrid

According to reports coming out of Detroit, the all new Cadillac SRX (a just released and already top selling crossover from the American auto maker) is in the process of developing a SRX-based plug-in hybrid to be launched soon.
