Cadillac Helps Keep Your Escalade Safe

Are you a fan of the Cadillac Escalade? Apparently, so are a lot of consumers. The only problem is that some of those car buyers aren't exactly buying. According to GM, the mighty luxury SUV is one of the "most stolen" large vehicles in the market.
In order to keep the Cadillac Escalade in the honest hands of owners and away from less-than-admirable robbers with admittedly admirable taste, the automaker is cracking down on security measures. Bill Biondo, GM's leader for vehicle theft prevention, explains, "The goal is to make the Escalade a very difficult target for thieves without any added inconvenience for customers."1 In order to accomplish this, company engineers worked hard to integrate systems that provide strong protection yet operate without driver awareness. Advanced security features for the 2012 Cadillac Escalade include:
- Tougher steering column lock system- Shock sensor: sounds alarm when windows are smashed
- Pass Key 3+: more sophisticated encryption system for the key, key cylinder and ignition
- Inclination sensor: sounds alarm when angle of vehicle is changed
- Stronger wheel locks
These features prove that Cadillac truly takes care of its loyal consumers and will go to any measure to prevent auto theft. However, Dan Vaden Cadillac also believes it's important for those who own an Escalade or any other new Cadillac model to take preventative measures of their own. For optimum vehicle safety we suggest parking your Cadillac model in a well-lit area, parking in a well-populated area, and always, always, always double-check your locks!
