Chevy has already seen heaping helpings of success with its Chevrolet Cruze sedan and hatchback variants. Since inception in 2009, the models have reached combined sales of over 1 million vehicles. Now, the automaker is planning on grabbing the attention of European wagon-loving consumers with a Cruze station wagon.
Redesigned and refined for added space, the new Cruze variant will make its official debut at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show in March. Susan Docherty, Chevrolet Europe President and Managing Director, explains that the Chevy Cruze Station Wagon, "ticks all the boxes for European drivers in terms of distinctive design, dynamic driving, space and economy."1
While the new Chevrolet offering won't be available for the American market, Dan Vaden Chevrolet is still pretty intrigued by the automaker's developments. In addition to the new body type, Chevy will also be offering the following fresh engines options for the European Cruze: a 1.4L turbo gasoline, a 1.7L diesel and a revamped 2.0L diesel. What's more, all powertrains will come standard with stop-start technology and are 100-percent Euro 5-compliant.
Though those in the Savannah area won't be seeing the Cruze station wagon anytime soon, you will be able to get your hands on some of the innovative Chevrolet technologies it offers. Chevy MyLink, for example, will be available for a 2013 variant of the Chevrolet Sonic. Dan Vaden Chevrolet expects the refreshed Sonic to join our new Chevrolet lineup at 9393 Abercorn Street Savannah, GA 31406 soon - be sure to stay tuned for more information!
