Chevy Malibu Gets Turbo Option
Published Wednesday, 21 December, 2011 by Blog Admin. Categories: New Inventory, News.
Drivers love the Chevy Malibu. It might have something to do with the 40-some-odd awards it has under its headlights or its dynamic blend of performance and fuel economy, or perhaps it's the car's ability to keep drivers' interest. In 2012, for example, Chevy will provide two new reasons to choose the Malibu: a new turbocharged variant and Eco model.
The Chevy Malibu we would like to focus on today is the turbocharged variant. Essentially, it takes the prowess of the standard Malibu and multiplies it by ten - the perfect yang to the Malibu Eco's yin. Chevy has yet to divulge exactly what will lie beneath the hood of the new turbocharged 2013 Malibu. However, according to word on the street, it will be the same new turbo-charged engine that its luxe cousin, the Cadillac ATS, is adopting. If that is the case; the turbocharged Malibu will pump out somewhere around 270 horsepower.
Power aside, the new Chevy Malibu will live up to its sibling model's acclaim. It will perform above other cars in its class, offer a sportier and more sophisticated aesthetic borrowed from the likes of the Camaro and Corvette; a library-quiet cabin (thanks to acoustic laminated glass); intense efficiency; and wider, more commanding presence. In short, it's thoughtfully designed outside of the box to raise the bar on what drivers can expect in terms of premium styling and tenacious performance within the midsize sedan segment.
Stay tuned to learn even more about the forthcoming 2013 turbocharged Malibu and Malibu Eco, set to arrive in 2012. We expect complete specs to be available following the cars' world debut at the Shanghai Auto Show this April. In the meantime, feel free to experience all of the award-winning qualities the sedan offers for yourself. Visit Dan Vaden Chevrolet Cadillac at 9393 Abercorn Street in Savannah, GA, and take the 2012 Chevy Malibu (named "Best Buy", by Consumer Reports) for a test drive.
